Hello. My name is Heather Jean Hunter, and I am the owner of Hunter Structural Integration. I was very fortunate to travel a lot growing up in a military family. I have lived in California, Alaska, and even a short time in Cuba. I discovered Rolfing® when I was 16 years old living in Alaska. I was experiencing extreme shoulder pain.   So I saw a number of doctors, chiropractors and PT groups in the area, but they were stumped and recommended that I quit my physical activities.  My father happened to be trying this holistic approach to bodywork so we decided that I would try Rolfing® too.

We signed up for the traditional ten series.  By the  7th session, I had full range of motion back in my shoulder. However, that was not the only benefit I came to realize.  I also suffered from severe hormonal migraines at least once a month. Although I did not start my ten series for migraines, my family doctor asked me to track them after they started happening more often.  I finished my ten series and did some additional work. Upon completion I realized through my tracking that my migraines were starting to space out. Since this intervention I only experience migraines several times a year. I no longer need to keep shots on hand for the debilitating headaches or vision loss from these migraines.  I  was able to rejoin my competitive teams and had my hope restored.

Rolfing has been on my mind and in my heart since I was 16 years old.  After moving to western PA, I suffered a running injury during my first half marathon.  It made me realize that we don’t have a lot of holistic approaches for the body in this area.  At this point it felt right to begin my journey as Rolfer®. I felt my education, my career working with many different types of individuals, my desire to help the people around me, and my passion for the human body all pointed me towards Rolfing®.

I want to thank you for taking the time to make it this far. Thank you for being open minded towards a different approach to the human body. If you are ready to try something new then thankyou for trusting me with this part of your journey to health and wellness.

  • "The Rolfing® process allows individuals to touch aspects of themselves that have been living in a dormant state below conscious awareness."

    Adam Mentzell

  • "Finding an established sense of self begins by sensing Earth's gravity field, allowing gravity to find us."

    Kevin Frank

  • "Fascia does not discrimate, it simply keeps growing and eventually hardening into whatever shapes you make most often with your body. Unfortunately today that most likely means your body resembles the shape of an office chair."
